Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account info you provide (name, email), the property data and settings you save in the app, and basic request metadata (IP, user-agent) for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

To run your account, store your analyses, and improve the product. Your property data is private to you unless you choose to create a public share link.

Sharing & sub-processors

We don't sell your data. We rely on infrastructure sub-processors that handle data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments: Neon (Postgres database hosting, in AWS us-east-2), Vercel (application hosting + edge), Stripe (payment processing — they hold your payment card data, we never see it), Resend (transactional email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring), and PostHog (anonymous product analytics, identified-only profiles for signed-in users).

Payment data

When you upgrade to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. We never see your full card number — Stripe stores it under PCI-DSS Level 1 controls. We store a Stripe customer reference, your subscription status, and a non-sensitive billing summary (plan, renewal date, last four digits of the card for display) so we can show you the right Manage billing options.

Data retention

Active accounts: we retain your data for as long as you use Foncier. Cancelled subscriptions: your data stays so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off. Account deletion: when you delete your account from the profile page, we permanently remove your saved properties, settings, and personal data within 30 days; encrypted backups may briefly retain copies for up to 90 days before rotating out. Founder accounts: same retention rules; if Foncier ceases operation, we will offer a data export window before final deletion.

Your choices & rights

You can update or delete your account from the profile page. Under Quebec Law 25 and Canadian PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to know with whom we share it. Export your data anytime via Settings → Data Export. Email [email protected] for any privacy request — we respond within 30 days.
