Acceptable use
Use Foncier to analyze rental investments for yourself or your business. Don't use it to break the law, harm others, or interfere with service operation.
Your data, your responsibility
You own the property and analysis data you put into Foncier. We store it for you; you decide what to do with it. Make your own backups for anything mission-critical.
Community rent comps
When you add a rent comp on Foncier, it is contributed — without your name or any personally identifying information — to a shared database accessible to paying customers. This keeps the database useful for everyone. You can delete any comp you added at any time, which also removes it from the shared pool.

Foncier's calculations and projections are tools to support your own analysis, not investment advice. Consult a qualified professional before making real-estate decisions based on what you see here.
Service availability
We try to keep the service available and accurate, but we make no guarantee of uninterrupted service or perfect data. The service is provided "as is."
Subscription & auto-renewal
Pro plans are paid monthly or annually and renew automatically at the same cadence until you cancel. Renewals are charged to the payment method on file in advance of each new period. You will receive an email receipt for each successful charge from Stripe (our payment processor) and a separate notification from us if a charge fails. You can change plans, update your payment method, or cancel at any time from your /plans page or via the Stripe customer portal.
Cancellation & access after cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from /plans → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no further charges will be made, and you keep Pro access until that date. We do not pro-rate or refund partial periods. After the period ends, your account reverts to the free plan and your saved deals become read-only (you can still view but not edit). Your data is retained so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off; account deletion (separate from cancellation) is described under "Your data" and the Privacy Policy.
Refunds & cooling-off rights
Pro subscriptions: under Quebec consumer law (LPC art. 230), you may cancel a distance contract within 7 days of receiving the first paid invoice for any reason and request a full refund of that invoice. After that window, payments are non-refundable except where required by law — but you can always cancel auto-renewal so no further charges are made. Founder lifetime purchases: refundable within 30 days of purchase if you have not extensively used the paid features. Email [email protected] to start any refund request.
Founder lifetime plan
The Founder tier is a one-time payment that grants Pro-level access for the operational lifetime of Foncier. "Lifetime" means our lifetime, not yours: if Foncier ceases to operate (acquisition, shutdown, sale of the asset to another company), the Founder grant ends with the service, with no further obligation from us. We will provide reasonable advance notice via email if a planned shutdown is foreseen and a data export will be made available so you can leave with your records. Founder slots are limited and sold on a first-come basis; once the cap is reached, no further Founder purchases are accepted.
Payment processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or transmit your full payment card number — Stripe handles that under PCI-DSS Level 1 controls. We store only a non-sensitive customer reference and the last four digits / card brand for display purposes. Disputed charges, chargebacks, and PCI compliance are governed by Stripe's terms; abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension while we investigate.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from the profile page. Account deletion permanently removes your saved properties, settings, and account data within 30 days; backup retention may briefly exceed this. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to circumvent the founder cap or payment system. Suspended accounts may be eligible for refund of unused subscription time at our discretion.
